Climb Aboard a Press Boat and Capture the 2003 Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac

Register now for a spot on a press boat…the perfect way to capture the action at the starting line for the 105^th anniversary of the Race to Mackinac

WHAT: Press boats will be cruising out to the starting line of the 97^th running of the Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac, the world’s longest annual freshwater race. Media on the press boats will be able to capture the pre-race action and the start of the race up close and on Lake Michigan.

WHEN: Saturday, July 12, 2003

Option 1: All-Day Press Boat

This press boat will leave the dock at 10:45 a.m. and will stay out on the lake until the last race fleet boat has left the starting line (approximately 3 p.m.) Please plan on arriving at Monroe Street Harbor around 10:00 am to allow ample time for loading.

Option 2: Deadline Boats

Please contact PCI at 312/558.1770 to reserve a space on a deadline boat. Pre-registration is required.

The first deadline boat will leave the dock at 10:45 a.m. and return to the dock at approximately 1 p.m. A second deadline boat will leave the dock at approximately 1:05 p.m. and return at approximately 3 p.m. Plan on arriving at the dock at least

15 minutes prior to your designated departure time to allow for loading.
