Race to Mac Sets Sail with Lands' End

Welcome sailors! The Chicago Yacht Club proudly announces that Lands’ End Business Outfitters, a division of direct merchant Lands’ End, has signed on to be the 2003 Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac presenting sponsor, a fitting tribute to the company’s 40th anniversary and its nautical roots. Lands’ End Business Outfitters will produce the official race polos, skippers’ bags and other Lands’ End apparel and gear for the race. The gear will be available to skippers and crew members, as well as members of the Chicago Yacht Club’s staff supporting the race and related events.

Lands' End Business Outfitters joins a number of sponsors in this, the Chicago Yacht Club's 97th Race to Mackinac. The week before the Mac is filled with exciting events bringing together sponsors and sailors alike, in a celebration of our Club's "Tradition of Yachting Excellence." We are proud to have the support of our local community and many fine organizations in this world-class regatta.

This year, you can view the competing boats as they parade past Chicago's Navy Pier on their way to the starting line. The Parade of Boats begins at 10:30 AM at the east end of Navy Pier. Special commentary will give spectators a look at whose racing to be the first to finish in the 105th anniversary of the Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac presented by Lands' End Business Outfitters.
